The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
